Kiran Gupta, LMSW, MAC
Kiran is a licensed clinical social worker in the States of Michigan and Arizona. She is also licensed as a Master Addiction Counselor.
Kiran has over 20 years of counseling experience with 10 of those years in an in-patient psychiatric hospital where she performed crisis intervention, and managed and counseled patients with mental illness, trauma and substance abuse problems. Kiran left the hospital to set up her own private practice in Arizona where she worked with individuals and families, conducted group therapy and facilitated parenting groups. Kiran’s philosophy in counseling is holistic aimed at working with the mind, body and spirit to heal the whole person. Her clinical approach draws from psychological theories such as cognitive behavioral, EMDR and Imago therapy, as well as alternative techniques such as Reiki, yoga, meditation, and Bach Flower therapy. Her earnest desire in counseling is to help her clients attain peace and happiness by connecting with their inner self.
Kiran has master degrees in psychology and social work, undergraduate degrees in psychology and speech and hearing pathology. She completed her education in India and the U.S. Her interests outside work are to travel (in the passenger seat), reading, try different cuisines, and spending time with her family and friends.
