Nancy J. Allen, MA, CHES
Nancy Allen has over 25 years of experience in college and academic health education and health promotion/wellness services. She is a Past President and Fellow of the American College Health Association. Ms. Allen currently serves as the Health Promotion Services Integration Coordinator for Michigan State University.
In her current role, Nancy provides direction to the Health4U Program, the worksite health promotion program for MSU faculty, staff, graduate student employees, retirees and the spouses/partners of the members of these groups.
Nancy is known for her evidence based approach to the development of health promotion services. She is recognized for her leadership skills, creativity, ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, and developing collaboratively oriented models for the delivery of health promotion services.
Nancy’s operational expertise includes strategic planning, team facilitation, population based health promotion needs assessment, program evaluation, and designing data-driven health promotion service delivery systems.
Nancy is a graduate of the Central Michigan University Masters in Health Education program. She is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) a designation of the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc.
Nancy is married and has two daughters, one son-in-law, and a beautiful granddaughter. Away from work, Nancy enjoys spending time with her family. She finds relaxation and enjoyment through reading, gardening, participating in community service projects, and participating in a variety of cross-training activities.
