Peggy Crum

Peggy Crum joined the University Physician's Office in November 2006 as consultant/nutritionist for the Health4U Program NutritionMatters.

Peggy is a Registered Dietitian who combines her clinical experiences with evidence-based knowledge to give a message that addresses the specific nutrition concerns of the individual. Her desire is to help people enjoy food by discovering a positive relationship in feeding and eating, recognizing their medical needs and emphasizing the foods that will help them meet their nutrition goals.

Peggy graduated from Purdue University's Coordinated Undergraduate Program in Dietetics with a Bachelor of Science degree. She has been in clinical practice for over 30 years, which includes serving MSU's Department of Pediatrics and Human Development (P/HD) as pediatric nutritionist since 1992. In that role, she provided nutrition assessment and treatment for children with special needs and developed the nutrition domain for the IM Fit Program also serving the project as nutritionist. She continues to see patients in P/HD primary care clinic, and to counsel patients seen in private practice.

Peggy is wife to Jim and mother to Nathan and Betsy. She lives in Williamston and enjoys bicycling on the country roads, running through town, and walking with "the girls" (dogs, really!). She volunteers as a congregational leader for Habitat for Humanity of Lansing and works with youth in a number of volunteer capacities.
