Goals for Program Participants

  • Learn to depend on awareness and trust of internal regulators of hunger, appetite and satiety as a guide for what and how much to eat. 
  • Learn to calm down and stay calm and tuned in while eating. 
  • Resolve your negative feelings about your eating. 
  • Learn to take good care of yourself with food. 
  • Learn to manage conflict and anxiety about weight. 
  • Begin to find ways of being active that are right for you. 
  • Find out what holds true for you when your eating and activity are consistent and positive.

Food and Nutrition Counseling Services provides you with access to accurate health and lifestyle information, helping you to explore new behaviors and skills, and identifying useful campus and community resources.

MSU community members eligible for food and nutrition counseling services include faculty, staff, graduate assistants, retirees and the spouses/partners of members of these groups.
