Come join us for an open discussion about anxiety and depression and the numerous ways to identify, cope, and reach out for the support needed to help keep us safe and healthy.

Many of us deal with anxiety, depression, or both at times in our lives. Life has many transitions and stressors that impact our mental health: death, loss of job, loss of home, work stress, divorce, finances, children, illness. The list can be endless and many people who are diagnosed with anxiety or depression struggle with both.

Anxiety and depression can be crippling and have significant impacts on your personal and professional lives. Come join us for an open discussion about anxiety and depression and the numerous ways to identify, cope, and reach out for the support needed to help keep us safe and healthy. Discussion will center around the following:

  • Symptoms of depression & anxiety
  • Prevalence of anxiety and depression
  • Negative thinking patterns
  • Coping strategies
  • Holistic and traditional methods used to manage symptoms
  • Community support

This will be a two-part series. Part 1 will focus on the symptoms of depression, with a focus on high functioning depression. Part 2 will review symptoms of anxiety to help the participant understand the impact on their daily lives. At the end of each session the participant will leave with a variety of information on the symptoms, types of depression & anxiety, and impact of each on a person’s overall emotional, physical, and mental well-being. The participant will be able to identify coping strategies to combat negative thinking patterns and symptoms. These strategies will include mindfulness stress-based reduction skills.
