Thinking about ditching the car and engaging in active transportation? This resource is designed to help ease the transition. Whether you walk, bike, carpool, or take the bus, decreasing single-occupancy vehicle trips is the goal.

We realize that getting in your own car and driving is often the easiest and quickest option. But small changes to your commuting habits can have a big impact. CATA's Clean Commute Options Program strives to improve the Greater Lansing region’s air quality by educating people about how their transportation behavior impacts the air we breathe and helping them to find cleaner commute modes. Aside from the environmental implications, there are many health benefits to be gained from walking or cycling to work.
