EMILY  HOOVER Headshot

Emily is currently working on a Master’s in Social Work from Michigan State University, with plans to graduate in May of 2024, with a goal of becoming a licensed therapist. Emily is passionate about helping others through some of life’s most challenging moments and is looking forward to using her skills to help the MSU community.

Emily currently works for MSU Extension as a 4-H Supervising and Staff Development Educator. She was a 4-H Program Coordinator for just over eight years before recently becoming an educator. Before coming to MSU Extension, Emily worked at two different youth camps, eventually directing the Equestrian program for over seven years at a YMCA camp. Emily has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Spring Arbor University.

MSU community members eligible for food and nutrition counseling services include faculty, staff, graduate assistants, retirees and the spouses/partners of members of these groups.
